cant add to single word card

today, after i got a update, i cant add to single word card by phone. is it bug?or new system style? it is too inconvenient!!!!!!

Stupid Update

Why cant I add cards to my own list anymore??? What kind of update is it when it drops a core user feature - edit your own deck & add your own cards - without any warning? What is. Deck code? It was never there before and make no sense at all! Senseless. Avoid this app until clear instructions in use are provided.

Best ever!

Usually I dont bother to leave comments. But this app is one of my all time favorite! The function is so amazing that no matter how youd like to use flash cards, you can do it with this app. The only thing Im not particularly satisfied with is the UI, not beautiful enough.. But that cant stop my love for this fantastic app! ;)

The best of the best

Congrats! Youve stumbled upon what may be the greatest flashcard app and one of the best apps in general. Few developers are as responsive, loyal, and dedicated as this one. While other app makers simply make a version 2 and slap on a new price tag, this one has kept with the times and steadfastly updated. Furthermore, the app itself is powerful and customizable. It may seem a little daunting at first, but it is completely worth it. Best $4 youll ever spend on the app store. Update: Still going strong! Please give it a spin and support this awesome developer! You know an app is truly great when the dev himself uses it for his own purposes. Edit: I see some negative reviews. But reading them, its easy to deduce that the problems there are user problems and not app problems.

Fantastic app

Well designed. The app is constantly improved by developer. I love it. A couple of suggestions: allow a user to search google and add text in-app from when creating new cards. The ability to add images while editing cards is a great addition, but it is too limiting as far as source. The ability to access a proper search engine like google image search would be more powerful. But again, a great app. With these additions, Id give it 6 stars if allowed.

The Best

I used this app several years ago and it was my favorite. Now that I need flash cards again, I looked it back up. Still as great as I remember it being. The key for me is the easy integration with Quizlet.

WOW

Ive Tried all! This one is the best of the best!! Keep up the good work!

BEST FLASHCARD APP NEXT TO ANKI

I bought this before Anki so that really says something. No kidding but for the first time I tried this, I aced my Literature test! Will give this five stars if youll add mp3 in sounds. Thanks for the wonderful app! Youll never regret buying this. Plus, its 21$ cheaper than Anki. :) PLEASE PLEASE CONSIDER ADDING MP3 FUNCTIONALITY TO SOUNDS. THANK YOU! THIS APP IS WORTH EVERY PENNY.

An entire learning system

This is easily the most capable and flexible flashcard app available. Use advanced layouts with spelling turned on, and you can learn to translate foreign words to and from your own language. Great for learning Latin spelling with macrons and paradigms. Spaced repetition mode by itself makes this app the best of its kind. Warning: There are settings upon settings. Takes patience to learn what they all do and how to use them. If you think an option you want isnt available, chances are its hidden within a particular path of settings you must navigate. If youre stumped how to set something up, ask on the app forum. The developer actively responds helpfully.

Pretty bad

Crashed twice. Flash card editor is terrible and not streamlined at all. If addressed will change rating.

Wonderful!

Great! Many options to customize. Couldnt ask for more.

The opposite of intuitive. Cant create one card.

I purchased to help with my foreign language studies. I need only the basic functionality. Easily create 1 card with a front and back and spaced repetition. I thought this app could be the answer. I was wrong. Ive spent 15 minutes trying to create my first card within the app. The website help is as disorganized as the app. Im happy to update my review if the devs or anybody points out how to find A in ABCs of getting started. I dont enjoy flaming hard work. I dont have the time to waste learning an App that is advertised and should be intuitive

Awesome

Best flash card program ever and very good support from the author. This app justified purchasing an iPad and iPod for me. It includes nice features that you cant get with other SRS apps like auto play of decks with the sound and background music for getting more studying in while driving or cleaning. The interface is clean, simple, but powerful. This is my most used app on my phone by far.

Its worth getting :)

I wanted an app like Anki to practice my Japanese vocabulary, and this was it. I love how it has a spaced-repetition option, and how easy it is to use. Its much less than Anki, but just as effective.

My most useful app

I have had this app for almost five years and it is the most useful app that I own. Each update is an actual improvement rather than an update for the sake of doing an update.

Best Dev on the App Store

I emailed a little while ago about adding the ability to turn off HTML parsing for those of us studying code and that feature just got added! Thank you so much. This is hands down the best flashcard app on the App Store. It allows for so much customization that will allow you even study flash cards with a lot of text on it. Most flashcard apps are only designed to handle a small amount of text (Im looking at you quizlet).

I will graduate thank to this app

I could never imagine that something as simple as flashcards could be developed into the most brilliant application I have experienced in both an iPad and iPhone. I don’t understand why anybody studying medical sciences doesn’t have this app. I can say that I will graduate from a doctoral degree thanks to this application. This app may be a bit confusing to use at first, but is only after a while that you realize the tremendous potential; the possibilities are endless. Download this app. Take your time to get use to it. Finally, you will not be able to live with out it.

Best

Definitely its the best app Ive ever seen before to study flashcards.

Comparing the numerous flashcard apps...

I have spent the last week researching the numerous flashcard apps available on iPhone and iPad (and spent over $40 in the process). I have looked into the major and minor details of these programs. Here was my list of must-have’s based on importance. 1. Support modern SRS while also keeping cards in order (my deck is in order of importance) 2. Support more than 2 sides to a card. 3. Support flipping cards 1 and 2 for studying backward and forward 4. Support text-to-speech (TTS) for foreign languages 5. Ability to add photos (into a single card or a batch) 6. Be able to display a complete list of the cards and filter the list by the card’s status 7. Notifications and Rembinders 8. Display useful statistics Many apps supported a combination of these features, but only Flashcards Deluxe supported ALL of them. In many cases, even the implementation of the features were better executed in Flashcards Deluxe. At this point, I have spent several days using the app exclusively with my deck, and the app is very reliable. When flashcards are as complex as mine are, you don’t want to get lost in the process of getting them setup. Fortunately, Flashcards Deluxe has a fantastic help menu with explanations for each option. I also reached out the the developer when I had questions and received prompt responses. I’m very happy with my decision, I only wish the amount I spent for the other apps could have gone to this developer instead. Hopefully, I can save someone the effort that I had to go through. This is the flashcard app you need.
